Alabama will not win the SEC or the National Title

There sure is a lot of uncertainty entering a new college football season since NIL, the transfer portal, and conference realignment seem to be dominating every air wave and television second in the sports media.

But let us not forget that the dawgs are entering this year as reigning National Champions and we are on a two-peat to do the damn thing again. And if there is one other thing that we can get straight, it’s that Bammer isn’t going to win the SEC.

It’s pretty plain and simple, the Dawgs are winning the conference this year and it really shouldn’t be much of a question. Forget Vegas, who has Bama at -150 odds right now to win the SEC. That’s good news for the Georgia faithful who can win some good cash with the +150 odds we’ve got rolling.

Bammer ain’t winning because Georgia is and I’ve got some pretty convincing points as to why that will be the case. For starters, our defense is still elite. Remember that number one ranked unit that allowed just 9.5 points per game a year ago? It is still intact and we are still going to be running over opposing offenses like it’s nobody’s business.

Three defensive starters have their names on the preseason All-SEC team and we still have great returners coming back who are more polished and accomplished than they were a year ago. I have full confidence that guys like Jamon Dumas-Johnson and Travel Walthour will fly up draft charts this year with an incredibly successful season.

There is something really special about this team, so much so that the coaches didn’t even feel the need to go into the transfer portal and grab low-hanging sloppy seconds from other schools. That speaks volumes about the kind of depth and quality of player that is recruited to Athens. We would rather take our guys who haven’t seen the field yet over a two or three-year starter at a school where the focus and drive isn’t where it should be.

Take Amarius Mims for example. He added his name into the portal and probably could’ve splashed a mega NIL deal from some other school but he knows damn well that if he wants the best atmosphere in college football and a chance to repeat as a National Champion, there is only one place that he can do it and it’s the University of Georgia.

At the end of the day, Saban hates playing Kirby. Our guy is the new kryptonite to ole Saban and we are going to relish in the fact that Bama fans will moan and groan and shove their roll tides you know where when they see the Dawgs on the schedule. There might be lots of uncertainty heading into the football season, but I know I’m going to relish another season where the Dawgs reign king and Bama is petrified to see us in Atlanta come December.
